The majority of Americans support common sense gun reforms to address the rise in gun violence across the United States. Yet policy makers find it difficult to unite around legislation that includes gun restrictions. In the face of this on-going political stalemate, some community groups are bridging partisan divides to work on real-world solutions.

According to the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence, unintentional firearm injuries claim the lives of more than one person per day in the United States. Children and adolescents are especially impacted, with more than 100 of them dying from accidental shootings each year. Gun safety education and safe storage laws can help to deter a portion of these deaths.
